FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the minimum charge?

We have a minimum charge of two hours, along with travel expenses, to account for the cost of sending out the truck. So, if your move takes one hour and forty-five minutes, you'll be charged for the two-hour minimum plus travel costs. For any time that goes beyond two hours, we round up to the nearest fifteen-minute mark.

What is the Travel Charge?

We do not initiate the billing period upon departure; however, we do impose a standard fee of $55.00. This fee accounts for the travel time to your loading location and from the unloading location at the conclusion of the move. Consequently, any delays caused by traffic, construction, or trains are our responsibility and not yours.

Is there any other charges?

We do not impose charges for mileage or fuel for local relocations within a 40-kilometer radius of Saskatoon.

Do you have insurance?

We are committed to ensuring that your items arrive at their destination in perfect condition, just as they were when they left with us. Each item is thoughtfully wrapped and cushioned to ensure maximum protection during transit. If an item does happen to arrive damaged, we provide standard coverage of $0.60 per pound or the repair cost.

How do I pay?

At the conclusion of your move, we will tally your total and collect payment on-site. We accept cash or e-transfer. Unfortunately, we no longer accept checks or credit cards.

Can I tip my movers?

Some customers often wonder whether or not to tip. Ultimately, it's up to you! If you're pleased with the service provided, you're more than welcome to offer a tip. We kindly request that you hand it directly to your moving crew.

THE REALITY OF MOVING QUOTES

Do you provide moving quotes?

Unfortunately, we do not provide a specific time estimate for your move because it relies on various factors that are usually not available till close to moving day.. These include whether you need us to disassemble or reassemble any items, the organization of the loading area on moving day, the number of boxes once everything is packed, which is depends on the size of boxes you use, and whether everything is ready, which we can only assess on the day itself.

 

Additionally, elements like the presence of stairs or elevators, road conditions, the distance between locations, and parking availability on moving day, will also affect the overall time needed for your move. That said, we can assure you that a well-organized loading area will help speed things up.

 

Once we arrive and have a clearer understanding of the situation, we’ll be happy to provide you with an estimated time before we begin.

 

Why will other moving companies provide a quote?

Honestly, we're a bit uncertain about that. It's tough to pinpoint an exact timeline just by walking through a home a month before packing begins for all the reasons we have listed above. There’s no way to gauge how organized you’ll be or if you’ll have enough time to tackle everything on your moving day to-do list until the moving day is here, even with the best intentions.

 

Many companies tend to give low estimates just to secure the job, others will inflate their quotes when a customer is having difficulty finding movers available and will ensure their teams work at a pace that maximizes billing. While not all moving use those tactics, it's hard to determine the good from the bad by google reviews that may have been actually bought and paid for. .

 

While we can't give you a guarantee on the time it will take to complete your move, we can promise never to underestimate the time required to win your business, nor will we charge for time that isn’t necessary. What we do guarantee is clear pricing and helpful tips to ensure your move goes quickly and smoothly.

 

Can you just give me a rough idea of the cost?

While we never promise exact moving times, based on our experience, we can give you a general idea of how long it might take depending on the size of your home.

 

Apartment to Apartment

Bachelor Suite ( Single Room - 1-2 hours (Max)

1 Bedroom - 2.5-3 hours (Max)

2 Bedroom - 3-4 hours  (Max)

 

NOTE: If you're moving to an apartment on the 3rd floor that requires stairs or has an elevator but doesn't come with an elevator key, please add an hour to the estimated time mentioned above.

 

House to House  

1 Bedroom / 1 Living Rm - 2.5 Hours 

2 Bedroom /1 Living Rm - 3-4 Hours

3 Bedroom/ 1 Living Rm - 4-5 Hours

3 Bedroom / 1 Living Rm/Garage- 5-7 Hours

3 Bedroom / 2 Living Rm/Garage- 7-9 Hours

4 Bedroom Plus - 9 Hours plus 

 

NOTE: If there are any stairs, like in a Townhouse or Bi-Level, please add an hour to the time mentioned above.

 

MOVING TIPS THAT WILL SPEED UP YOUR MOVE

Declutter:
Before packing, go through your belongings and get rid of items you no longer need or use. Donate, sell, or discard them responsibly.

Label Boxes:
Make sure all boxes are closed and sealed.. Label each box and leave it in the room it belongs to. This will help movers place boxes in the correct locations at the unload. 

Disassemble Furniture:
Have all furniture and beds disassembled and ready to be transported.. Leave them in the rooms they belong to.
